Sometimes we tend to remember, sometimes we tend to regret.
“Escaping Darkened Days”

Sometimes we tend to remember

Sometimes we tend to regret

Sometimes our mind leads us one direction

Though our hearts lead us another

Sometimes we tend to fake a smile

Sometimes we tend to loiter in the dark

But though of my love

That unceasingly has lingered in the depths of my heart

I shall never forget

Sometimes we may fail to recall

Sometimes we relish the history

We all have made to reminisce

And sometimes we shame

Some of the decisions we have once made

At one time we fought

A brutal war that was left its scars on our hearts

But we made it out of the gloomy tunnel with nothing

But the obscure mutilations

And we were resilient and made it through

The once darkened day
