Survivors in Texas cope with a zombie uprising, but things are not what they seem.
The hot Texas sun beat down on Rich, but the color had left his face and a chill crept up his spine. Rich stood in the field outside his house staring into the sunken eye sockets of an approaching figure that was wearing his mothers dress. A hot and humid breeze ruffled the filthy old dress and lifted the few remaining strands of dark hair that still clung to the scalp of the creature. The same breeze moved across the tall field grass and blew dust at his face, but Rich failed to notice, paralyzed by the sight of the decaying figure unsteadily approaching him.

Andrea strode across the field towards Rich taking long, purposeful strides. She continued her speed as she passed Rich and raised her gun. Nearing the stumbling figure, she held the pistol out and blasted the figure in the head as it was reaching for her, sending the better part of the back of it's skull scattering across the field. The figure crumpled to the ground like a marionette with its strings cut. Behind her, Andrea heard Rich also fall to the ground. She stood up and looked around. In the distance she could see two figures on the horizon, heads moving from side to side as they moved. With a last glance to the body in the dress, she ran to Rich.
