A zephyr takes appropriate action.
I am an eager Zephyr born
of solar wind and heat.
I swirl the Capes like Hope and Horn
where oceans currents meet.

(Permit me time now if you please
to tell you what I know.
I am a gentle, mild breeze
  found everywhere you go.)

A hang glider appeared offshore
in cloudless sky of blue.
It started from a rocky tor
and in the air it flew.

It soared with charm and subtle grace
above the sea below.
My breeze assumed a steady pace
and that seemed apropos.

(We all are kin, the gust and gale,
  the windy hurricane.
Around the world our winds prevail
  from Vietnam to Spain.)

I watched the glider fly so free
on updrafts right on cue.
I saw a sailboat suddenly
sail quickly into view.

I noticed from my vantage space
that glider and sailboat,
were heading for the exact place--
this Zephyr did take note.

I did not think collision wise
nor comely to the sight.
I felt my inner strength arise
and blew with all my might.

Their paths were altered by my blow--
the danger all but ceased.
The updrafts energized their flow
and ocean waves increased.

The glider looped on back to land
beside a banyan tree.
The sailboat did as I had planned
and headed out to sea.
