Double Etheree

The Masks I Wear

Joy,
A mask
I must wear.
Conceal my ire,
My hatred, my wrath.
The world I'm in dragged me
Then pushed me to do the worst.
I'm a shattered piece, ne'er mending.
The wounds, the scars, remained fresh.
This world is vain, I had no room to live.

I dreamed to breath in a life's ebullience.
Let time fleets and let my wounds to heal.
To flee from iniquitous cloak
That burried me ever since.
I dreamed, I longed, I wished
To find happiness.
Yet even if
I tried, I
still feel
sad.
