A girl with amnesia and the tale of her struggle.
This is just a story that I though of a while back and not quite sure if I should add anymore to this... feedback is very much appreciated!

Chapter 1

The house wasn't the same to her since the last time she remembered it. The honey colored paint on the outside seemed to have changed to a dull green. The thick set of plants that were always in bloom was replaced with cheap, plastic lawn ornaments. Something deep inside her began to churn and swirl, making her almost sick to her stomach. Tears sprang to her eyes as her nails dug into her meaty palms which left harsh red marks. She couldn't hold the anger in anymore and before she knew it she smashed two of the three lawn gnomes. Streaks of dirt and blades of grass covered her pale skin and clumped onto her shoes. Nothing could stop the beast that seemed to have taken over her. She didn't notice the lights that flicked on from the window just above her.

"What are you doing?!" screeched the lady on the top step of her porch. She didn't seem to notice the sudden cold chill while wearing a blush pink satin robe that didn't hide too much to the imagination.

Suddenly she stopped, unable to comprehend what she had just done. Her eyes darted down to her dirty hands and wiped them as hard as she could onto her blinding white pants.

"Ah, there you are, Rosa. We've been looking everywhere for you," said a voice from the edge of the lawn. She cocked her head toward the voice and let out a whimper as she realized who it was. He stepped toward her cautiously, holding out his hands as if to sooth a wild animal. He didn't look up but directed the command to the lady, "I've got this. Return back to your house and lock the door."

The lady stayed as she processed what was happening. Eventually the nerves got to her and she did what he told her. Rosa couldn't hold in the true feelings she had anymore that eventually consumed her. Her knees gave way under her and she slumped to the ground as trails of salty tears made its way down her plump cheeks and pooled at her chin.

"Everything's changed. I don't remember any of this..." she trailed off as the man finally reached her and let out a sigh. He sat on one knee and rested a hand on her shoulder, hoping this little act of caring would easy her pain.

"Let's go back," his voice stayed calm as they gradually made their way to the unmarked white van. She whispered under her breath gibberish as the seatbelt clicked into place. Streetlamps flashed as they passed under one every few blocks, making the shadows distort the trees and gave them an eerie look. Soon trees narrowed down in numbers as more fields take their place. They came to an abrupt stop and before she could even unbuckle the seatbelt three men came rushing out.

"Are you alright, Miss Vargas? You had us worried sick!" said the first man as he opened the door and took her hand. He tsked as he noticed the grime on her hands and her once clean uniform that is now ragged. Her breathes came out rapidly as her hand shot to her chest, feeling like a rat in a cage. Her eyes darted around in a panic but then her eyelids became suddenly much heavier. Sleep clouded her judgment, but before she blacked out completely she could make out a small syringe one of the other men had stuck into her arm.

"Yep, another episode," says a distorted voice, "Third one this week."

         "What should we do, Doctor?"

“The most we can do is to change her dosage. Make more appointments for her therapist,” the voices stop and seem to have disappeared. The room sits in a nice quiet before more footsteps sound from the hall. Rosa stiffens as she waits for another needle to penetrate her soft skin. But nothing happens. She keeps her eyes closed anyway, just to feel safer.
