A poem by me.
Your words tore through me like a knife,
how could you not trust me?
I gave to you my heart, love, and soul.
All these things crumble under me.

I never thought love would be like this.
Your words twisting like a knife.
You don't trust me, but you want to stay?
Make up your freaking mind!

The words fall from your mouth like acid rain,
Burning holes so deep in me.
I never though you could be so cruel
to someone who loved you like me.

I have seen you angry, in pain and so afraid.
Nothing could prepare me for the terrible truth that came.
You have seen me utterly broken, but this is something new.
The thought that races through my mind are "How can I love you?"

I was ready to give you my life,
Every second that I had.
Your words are still hanging in the air,
floating around my head.

And now to end this chapter,
I long to run away.
But I know, in my heart,
that I have to stay.
