A poem by me.
I used to think the world was ugly.
All black and white and grey.
No colors there to speak of,
just a lot of pain.

I met my good friend Lucy,
one cloudy day in August.
She opened up my window
and let the rainbow crawl inside.

I used to think the world was ugly,
but she made it bright and new.
My silent world now bursts with noise.
With Lucy's hand in mind, we found beauty all around.

Lucy made things different,
she opened up my mind.
Lucy dropped the rainbow
into the center of my eye.

The world that was so ugly
Now shines with so much light.
Bringing with her beauty,
my Lucy, always bright.
