This was from a prompt to write 20 lines of poetry about a memorable moment. How did I do?
Western Civilization 101
102, and 103
That is when Socrates
was introduced to me

The Oracle claimed him the wisest
and to that he had to agree
For he alone was aware of his ignorance
when no one else seemed to see

Then I learned of Alexander The Great
who conquered land after land
His success was astounding in length
Leading his men by example, force, and faith

I cannot leave out the Bible
the book I tried to believe
From Pagan times to Christian days
what a farce they truly achieved

I was never more excited
to fully understand
The ways in which we came to be
believe, and live upon this land
