A game of "Truth or Dare" takes a turn for the worse
THE UGLY ONE

Truth or Dare,
Hung in the air,
And truth is what she chose.

Which one of us is prettier? My sister asked,
Though laughter came quickly, it didn't last,
"Promise neither of you will be hurt by what I say."
Forget it friend, it'll hurt anyway.

I promised I'd be fine though,
Said it wouldn't put our friendship on the line so...
A promise is a promise,
It hasn't, and it won't.

There's no one really to blame,
I don't want anyone to feel ashamed,
It's not anyone's fault,
Hey, what's a wound without salt?

It's something I'd always known,
But now I was really shown.
It's something no one likes to hear,
And it echoes in my head, every time I look in the mirror.
