Inspired from an afternoon hike
Can you hear the tune
O’re sweet melodies
Of the birds in June
and wind through the trees?

The cool air is damp
on low hanging leaves.
Post winter revamp
for earth to conceive.

The colors of life
So vibrant and true
A beauty that's rife
Serene shaded hues

The feet upon earth
A well beaten path
A journey has birthed
A heart so I hath

The Heavens of blue
and those lords of white
A throne for the star
Who blesses with light

The future I bridge
In grass covered hills,
The frosted tipped ridge
O’re distant foothills.

The Valleys of grass
Sprouts not unlike dreams
grows sure to surpass
The light’s color scheme

Every eye hoping
Each blade does flower
But only some spring
And Achieve such power

A sight to behold
A beauty rare seen
Upon faces so bold
A curious scene

Through much work and toil
Man has placed its seed
And laid upon soil
Their steel and concrete

Homes tower like trees
Asphalt roads like streams
A sight near obscene
Unlike anything.
