Letter to younger self
Dear awkward little girl,

Finding your place in this world isn't easy. You may feel like the odd piece in the puzzle, but you fit right where you are. There is room for you no matter how big or small you want to go. So darling, don't be afraid to go big - take risks. I know that you don't want to fail and flail and fall, but you can't let fear freeze you in place. Ask the cute boy out, apply to school - even the out of reach ones, and try the god damn sushi. Rejection isn't the end, it's a sign that you aren't where you're meant to be just yet. Always remember that you are good. You are enough. Take that to heart and know that not everything is going to fall into place automatically. Mistakes need to be made, lessons learned, and heartaches collected. All those experiences, both shitty and lovely, are lessons and blessings in disguise.
When you find the boy that your soul recognizes as the elusive "one", but he's blindly groping in other directions, don't chase him. Let him be. That boy isn't meant for you darling , wait for him to become a man. When the time is right, it won't unfold like a predictable romantic comedy, it will be real life - messy. There will be a single night of sweet victory, your inner high school girl cheering you on. There will be two pink lines. Sinking hearts. Decisions. So many decisions. But my dear, it will work out. I'm sitting here, proof that you will overcome, and go on to achieve a life rich with chaos and beauty.
