Just a bit of romance poetry from my brain. enjoy
“I May Very Well Be Smitten. (i.e. permission)”

May I trace the lines of your face?
The crescent shape of your cheek and the upward curve of your mouth tell Me yes.
There are flashlights in your brain
Illuminating the undiscovered shade of blue in your eyes.
I will never kill a moth again
If this is what it means to be drawn to a light.

May I brush the edge of your fingertips?
The pressure on my compressed knuckles and conjoined puzzle piece fingers Tell me yes.
There is a river in your veins
Carrying me away on it's heated current.
I will never fear Nature again
If this is how it feels to be lost to its force.

May I define myself on your lips?
The staccato in your chest and brush of your tongue
Tell me yes.
There is music in your heart
Playing on our mouthy instruments.
I will never dance again
Because I am deaf dumb and blind to everything
But you.
