The Fates play their games.
I thought you were honest and kind.
Never knew I could be so blind.
Ignorantly I played the part of the fool.
Oh how the Fates can be so cruel.

Once again, a pawn in their game.
Just not quite the same.
A new level I now must play.
A reason to make me forever stay.

The path I walk I must never regret
For it has given me a Dream to protect
Passion, love and happiness discarded upon the floor
Those wishes locked behind Fate's door.

Wishes and hopes die young and fade away.
While this living body has already begun to decay
Age and wounds are taking their toll.
Fate no longer satisfied with just my soul.

Yet as my Dream wraps a hand around my fingers
I'm swept away by an inner peace that I hope lingers
But will I be able to pay the cost?
For in Fates game I am already lost...
