Not knowing why
The saddest thing about being depressed is
You never really know why you’re depressed.
You never really know why you are the way you are and how to fix it.
You never really understand the purpose of being this sad.
You never really make amends with yourself
Because you think that being depressed and being sad
Means that something is seriously wrong with you.
It’s hard to explain to someone how you’re feeling because you feel that it doesn’t really matter to them,
Or to you.
Some people push themselves and everyone else around them, away.
But depression isn’t about how sad you are and moping around all the time.
Or listening to depressing music, not eating, not smiling…
It’s about making sure that you love yourself when he depression fades, to make sure
That you never feel that way again.
Depression isn’t a choice.
It’s a characteristic.
But the one choice you do have…
Is whether or not you will stay like that and invite it back into your life over and over again.
