A son's encounter with a kind,supernatural and loving God.
My Aunt Oliver was a woman that truly loved the Lord. Her every waking hours were talking to her Lord and
savior Jesus Christ. Her knees were scarred because she spent so many hours on them.
aunt Oliver was always praying for family members. She prayed for government officials across the seas and
people everywhere.

She never met anyone she did not try to introduce to her Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ. Some folks regarded her as
a complete nuisance. Believe it or not some folks ran when they saw her coming. Others would listen attentively to her every word.

You might think she had the most perfect life on earth. This was far from the truth. She had trials and tribulations just like everyone else. She never complained about her situation. She was too busy helping the needy or giving Godly advise to whoever would listen.

She had one gown child, his name was Fred. She had not heard from him or seen him in years. He was always in her prayers.
Fred ran away from home because of his mother,s constant praying. His friends was always laughing at him. He felt he was the joke of the neighborhood.

Fred graduated from high school and left home immediately. He had saved all his money he earned while in high school.
His destination was unknown to him and his mother. He never looked back. Aunt Oliver stood in the doorway crying and praying for his safety.

She attended a small Baptist church within walking distance of her house. In her church she was known as the prayer warrior. Everyone felt she could surely get a prayer through to God. Her advice was always welcomed at her church.

For Aunt Oliver, time passed as it does for for each and everyone of us. Aunt Oliver grew older and her steps became slower.
She missed her neighborhood walks. The people at her church and neighborhood never stopped caring for her. Her needs were always met with a sincere smile from everyone. Now the time has come for someone to take care her. She had helped so many when they were in need. Aunt Oliver's kindness was never forgotten by her neighborhood and church.

After eighty-five years of enjoying life, she was not in a hurry to get up this morning. The morning sun shined brightly through her window. She laid there talking to her Savior. Sweetly he called her name and slowly she closed her eyes and she surrendered
to her Savior.

Minnie, the neighbor that cared for her everyday needs found her smiling in her sleep.Minnie did not realize at first she had gone home to be with the Lord. Rev. Wiggs came over and confirmed Minnie's finding.

Aunt Oliver wrote her funeral plans a long time ago. She had one special request, please find my son. I want to see him one more time. Minnie and Rev. Wiggs were puzzled by her last statement.

Each of her wishes were carried out completely. With the help of a private detective her son was located. The day of her funeral was one that Little

baptist Church would never forget. The attendance was extremely large. The parking lot was filled with chairs instill of cars. A microphone was setup around the outside of the church, so everyone could hear the service.

Just as Rev. Wiggs got up to speak, a loud noise was heard. Her son entered crying, mother I have finally surrendered to your Lord and Savior. I have vowed to do his will. He fell down beside the casket declaring I love you, I love you to his mother.

Aunt Oliver's son got up off his knees and appeared to be hugging someone. One of the elderly persons of the church, Sis. Taylor shouted "Sis Oliver is hugging her son. do you see her?" repeatedly she said "do you see her?" Rev. Wiggs stared in amazement, because he could see Sis. Oliver hugging her son, also.

Some became frightened and ran out of the church. Those outside was trying to get inside to witness the sighting. They had heard Sis. Oliver was physically hugging her son. After a moment of speaking with his mother. Fred picked his mother mother up and placed her back in the casket.

Rev. Wiggs was totally stunned. He could not believe what he had seen. Just a few members of the church had the ability of witnessing this most precious display of love between mother and son.

Some shouted "is she dead?" Yes, replied Rev. Wiggs. God just allowed her to return for a brief moment to see her son one more time.
This was her last wish and desire.

Rev. Wiggs said I have nothing to say after such a display of God's for his servant. Please clear the aisles so we might go to the church's graveyard. The graveyard in the back of the church.

After the burial everyone wanted to know who saw Sis. Oliver hugging her son and who did not. What a funeral!. Sis. Oliver's son remained true to his word. He served the Lord faithfully preparing to make heaven his eternal home.
