The abyss holds tight, and I feel no need to fight it.
The abyss holds me tight,
It’s slimy grip slithers round my arms.
My lantern eyes show nothing but black,
My ears hear nothing but screams,
The familiar wails of my fellow lost souls.
The thought of freedom is a pleasant thought,
Yet I’ll always choose dark over light.
The abyss has given me company for so long,
I would not stay afloat without it.
So I sit and let blood drip from my grin,
My knees scrape the ground,
My arms lay bloody and broken,
From being dragged too far down.
