Words vomited to paper in the wee hours of withdrawl
Sea sick stomach heaving
All stimulus overload
No words, no pictures
For this every-nothing
Needing anything
Give me something!
Can't sleep
Try, try, try, lie
Awake in thick suffocating darkness
Closed eyes bring wigglethings creeping
Walls, floors, ceilings, covered
Maggots on them, on me
Churning empty stomach
To desperate retching
Of air and acid
Exhaustion giving way
To nightmares not so different
From this daymare of present
A hospital, tubes, wires, machines
Humming, thumping
Like a hole body heart beat
Hair falling in clumps and handfuls
Skin covered in ringworm rosies
Regarded like a leper
Gasp-panting waking delirium
So real, what's real?
Rising in search of comfort
Escape from surreal realities
Rocking, screaming, thrashing, smashing
While sitting demurely on the couch
What is this madness?
