The cycle of life.
Step, step, step.
Dawn, motion, life takes the first step.
Quick-paced and looking forward is the spirit of energy.

Eyes open onto a bright world full of wonder, full of excitement.
Deep blue skies arc above.
Tapestries of light and dark nurture the land.

Growing older, the eyes become more aware.
Seeing more dark than light an eye tears.
Love wears away the innocence, making them intense.
Step, step . . . step.

Time advances unceasingly, widening the eyes.
They see life distorted.
Trials in life make them steely, hard.

Time paces out the last steps.
Twilight transforms the eyes, once alive with spirit, to weary and cynical.
The rhythm of time is deliberate, dragging the weary eyes, the steps move toward an end.
The lids descend.

Step, step, step.
Life's enchantment commences again.
Bright and cheerful, it reaches for the light above.
A raging, burning fire of hope seeks the hidden secrets.
A life begins, a life ends, and such is the way of life.
