Pretending life is okay so people leave me alone.
I've gotten so good at pretending I'm okay
most people can't notice when I'm in pain.
No one can tell when I wanna scream or cry,
oblivious to the fact that I'm dying inside.
This mask that I don, it serves me well;
to the world I seem happy,
while I'm living through hell.
People tend to see just what they want to see
for behind this mask, I hide the truth that is me.
