The infinite music of life
Music of the Past
Lines: 21

Backseat singers belting out
ninety-nine bottles of beer…
father whistling as he drives
tires slapping pavement
gentle rain on cabin roofs
squirrels splintering acorns
children splashing in the lake
motorboats ‘burble’ and ‘vroom’
ice cream truck jingle blaring
kids running, laughing…
money jingling in hands
mother playing Claire De Lune
clock ticking in the night
wedding marching down the aisle,
sniffling, blubbering in the pews
baby playing patty cake
giggling and coo-cooing
grandpa’s dentures clicking
snoring in the easy chair…

infinite memories…
music of the past
