Catharis, loneliness, a quiet lullabye
Sometimes I sit in silence and darkeness.
I listen and seep into the silence.
I close my eyes to make the dark darker,
so I can hear the nothingness.
The sound of airwaves sings a mute lullaby.
The quiet even blasts the deafening rage
rumbling through the wrinkles of my white matter.
I sit with lids held shut
holding tight to a purring cat
who holds me back
without judgements and only love.
My weakness leaks from the lashes locked together,
trying to hold in all the emotions blazing deep within.
I sit in silence and welcome the darkness in secret,
hoping for catharsis.
