Reading Romeo and Juliet in school my thoughts on Romeo's attitude towards Rosaline
"She will not stay the siege of loving terms, Nor bide the encounter of assailing eyes, Nor ope her lap to saint-seducing gold. O, she is rich in beauty; only poor That, when she dies, with beauty dies her store," (Lines 205 - 209)

Romeo is dealing with unrequited love with a woman named Rosaline. He groans in sorrow to one of his friends as he complains that her beauty will be wasted because she doesn't want to get married or with anyone. He ridicules her choice not to have sex with him or return his love.

To me it seems as if he doesn't know the definition of 'no'. The Montague family is full of emotion so Romeo is nothing but emotion, and lack of emotions from others confuses and upsets him. Romeo dose not comprehend the true feeling of love because he is overcome by a plethora of feelings from his family.

If someone like Romeo Montague ever perused me, I would definitely give him a piece of my mind.
