One child gets a transplant.
Here he comes, being wheeled down he hall
This young child's lungs came from my little boy Paul.
Paul's little lungs were strong and good
But his brain was injured by a thug in our neighborhood
We weeped for a miracle from God above
And I offered myself to show my love.
Doctors were firm. We must decide now.
Both boys could die if we delayed some how.
Paul was going fast. And the other boy too.
The doctors in the operating room told us what to do.
We kissed our only son. He closed his green eyes.
His monitor showed that he had no pain as he dies.
I cried the whole time that Paul gave lungs for a life.
I knew that I would see him first when I went to my afterlife.
Can I ever forget, a rebirth of little James?
As set of happy parents, sadly proclaims
Little Paul is an angel, and in their family too.
James is Paul's blood brother, through and through.
