Day 1 of 16-lines-in-16-days rap challenge
How many times to do we talk about outlook
Not just a series of good or bad events
Determining our mood by our targets, to conform to negativity or impress?
Let me pontificate to my blind audience all my successes
But is my joy genuine between the shots
And who falls for the costume, let us be honest
You've got to keep your inside pure

Should I ramble for hours on an insincere comment
Let that small bite drain all my sun away
But I'm anti-vampire, so let's bring out the wooden stake
Drop the hate, they're passing the buck you don't need to take
Calm it down, learn to pity, compassion over fear
It's okay, this storm shall pass, it was only ever a raindrop
Two voices for every occurrence, and I'm the hopeful pessimist
Tame the tongue, counter thoughts with sweet truth
Because you chose victory; victory doesn't choose you
