This city is still filled with tears
Hawaii's LAHAINA

Authorities issued a warning that the search and identification process for the dead was still in its early stages as the death toll from a wildfire that destroyed a historic Maui village grew to 93. The fire has already claimed more lives than any other U.S. inferno in over a century.

Only 3% of the search area has been covered by teams using cadaver dogs, according to Maui Police Chief John Pelletier on Saturday.

He said that the dead are expected to continue to increase in number and that "none of us really know the size of it yet." "We've got an area that we have to contain that is at least 5 square miles, and it is full of our loved ones," he said.
