what night is to me
Comforting Night

Waiting for this day to end,
eagerly wanting the night.
Warm darkness soothing my soul
surrounding me, comforting
with black velvet, softening,
ravaged edges, calmed by dark,
taming life's many stresses.
Repose entering my heart.
Moon and stars twinkling my hope.
