You're gonna clean your plate.
She’ll cook you anything you want
from blintzes to ragout.
And I can tell you that she makes
a tasty Irish stew.

Oh, she’s a chef extraordinaire,
of that there is no doubt.
Just tell her what you want to eat
and she will dish it out.

Hey, she can make a layer cake
or fresh baked apple pie.
She’s better than a bakery;
you know I wouldn’t lie.

If you like eggs and country grits,
this is the place to be.
And if you think you’ve had the best,
well, you just wait and see.

She’s on her feet all day and night,
just cooking up a storm.
Her kitchen is a sight to see,
sweet smelling, bright and warm.

You will not find a better place,
no matter where you look,
to have the best meal of your life
made by this expert cook.

So sit right down and just relax
and don’t you show up late.
Once you see what she’s serving up,
you’re gonna clean your plate.

Is this some fancy restaurant?
I’m sure you’d like to know.
But if I told you where it was
then you would want to go.

Yeah, Grandma’s house is where it’s at,
my favorite place to be.
Oh, sorry, but you’re out of luck.
She only cooks for me.
