A collaborative poem; sometimes what looks like love, is something else entirely.
Take my hand,
O Love’s sweet star!
The celestial ballroom
awaits
in ethereal splendor
Lead me,
guide me
in the divine dance –
let your light
twist my steps
into life.

Ungainly Time
treads glassine feet
The music falters,
strains in the fall
Shards fly into darkness –
hues of my wishes
shadows of dreams
bleed now
into parchment memories –
gossamer specters
in wine-stained regalia.

One by one
banished from the dance –
The once-partnered
twirl the miasmic floor.
Phantasmagoric
they ply their worth
where
fractals of gloried moments
waltz alone.
Release me now!

O cruel star, set me free!
Shine your sinister light
in another’s sky –
Your wild rhythm
your shameless rhyme
My feet cannot match,
nor my heart keep time
within this maelstrom
we mistook
for love’s ball.
