Life can become too much
No light

Sharp words tearing at my soul
No way out, your constant taunt
Everyday my life you did haunt
Great beast me you tried to control

Snapping, tearing, destroying my mind
You dragged me into dark places
A place where I no longer saw faces
A place of darkness only I could find

Silence, floating in the dark abyss
I surrendered, I released to be free
Holding me in a calm of a glass sea
Cradled in a dark universe of bliss

No fires of hell or light of heaven
No one to ferry me across to hades
No one to guide me to light parades
No light, no light, it was bereaven
