A poem about a vengeful spirit that preys upon a group of campers.
In 1984, mischief brewed, a prank so cruel,
Teenagers plotted, by the dark woods ruled.
A flaming bag of filth, a porch bell's chime,
Ignited a horror, a heinous crime.

Across the street, they watched the flame dance,
A cabin engulfed, a deadly trance.
The older woman, her screams unheard,
Consumed by fire, her final word.

Forty years passed, in shadows deep,
College students ventured, in woods they'd creep.
Unseen eyes watched, a malevolent force,
The spirit awakened, seeking its remorse.

Night fell thick, with whispers cold,
Each step they took, a story untold.
One by one, they met their fate,
In gruesome ways, sealed by hate.

A hush in the woods, the air turned foul,
As darkness weaved its deadly cowl.
The woman's spirit, a vengeful ghost,
Claimed their souls, a haunting boast.

Limbs torn asunder, bloodied trails,
Echoes of terror, in moonlit veils.
Her wrath knew no bounds, no mercy to lend,
In those cursed woods, her reign would not end.

So heed this tale, of sins untold,
In shadows deep, her vengeance bold.
Beware the woods, where evil broods,
For once unleashed, it came from the woods.
