This is just a little poem I wrote on a whim.
I sleep alone,
While those about live on their lives.
Night melts to the sweetest of dawns,
The dawn of my last breath,
And I will never again awake.

Eyes...so sad,
Are shut now,
And forever so,
As the were the windows to pain.
The light of life has diminished.

A new light comes,
It stirs my shivering soul.
It holds me close,
Like a child,
And I am finally one.

Now I am whole again,
And I fly through the whisps of clouds,
Hearing songs never heard before,
As heavenly tones soothe my heart.
I am warm.

I slept alone not long ago,
But where I was a half,
A crying, mourning, melting soul,
I am born again,
As one, a whole.
