Those were the days...
I know school will always be a bore,
And I hope to see the girl I adore,
A beautiful lady, just out of reach,
Hair of gold, lips the shade of peach,
She stand an angel in her blouse and skirt,
I long for the possible, occasional flirt,
But alas nothing, I am never seen,
I am not noticed, but God I'm keen,
I see her chatting with friends, wish I was there,
I watch in amazement, I can't help but stare,
I watch her walk, a figure of an hourglass,
Oh, it annoys me , I wish she was my lass,
I yearn for her touch, her every caress,
Whenever she speaks to me, my words are a mess.

In the hallway, I bump into her, time runs slow,
I stand gazing at her, I don't want to go,
My heart is racing, I break into a sweat,
She's not moving either, I'm now glad we met,
But as it looks like this will never end,
She is rescued from the deadlock by a nearby friend,
I close my eyes, gutted, I let out a sigh,
But she departs with a wave, and a friendly goodbye,
I wait for her to go and then punch the air in delight,
Through the darky glooms of my life, she is my light,
This moment is the highlight of my week,
The emotion overwhelms me, a tear runs down my cheek.
