Call it a sixth sense -

Sometimes I get the feeling
That there is something wrong;
You may have felt the same
When that feeling comes along.

It doesn't happen often,
It really is not in my plan
But I know before it happens
And I do not understand.

In Germany I felt it
That feeling of deep dread;
The next morning I learned
That my brother was dead.

I wrote about vague discontent
Not knowing what was to be,
Just a few days later
Word of a death came to me.

I suppose it's probably silly -
These feelings come and go;
Premonition of things to come
Are things I'd rather not know.
