Invited to go fishing but I didn't take the bait!

Working at the store today
I had a chance to meet
A fisherman who came to buy
Something good to eat.
As I was bagging groceries
I listened to his chatter,
And wondered if he'd quiet down
Long enough to get fish on his platter!
He said that he was impressed
That I had stepped right in
To help out at the register
And it would be a sin
If I didn't join him on the boat
He said that we'd have fun
I looked at him and shook my head
Said that I had to run -
"I'm serious", he said to me
"Why don't you come along?"
Jokingly I began to sing
An old Hank Williams song!
He thought that was great
(He must have been a thinker!)
Some fishermen are just that way
All hook, no line, a sinker!
