Memories of another Christmas together -

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Memories of a Christmas together
Enter my mind as I watch in awe
The display of Christmas lights
Loveliest that I ever saw -

It was Christmas many years ago
That you took my hand and said
That you would be so honored
If we could soon be wed.

The twinking lights danced
Upon your face, lighting your eyes
With a star-kissed wonderment
I said "yes" and Heaven sighs.

This Christmas we share a love
That never has grown cold;
We love each other more now
That we have at last grown old.

You turn to me and kiss my lips,
As you have for so many nights;
And your eyes are still reflecting
The beauty of the Christmas lights.
