Just a little funny Halloween tale

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

It was Halloween eve,
With no costume in sight!
What could she wear
To cause some great fright?

She took off her glasses,
And took out her teeth;
She let her hair down
And then, GOOD GRIEF!

She pulled on her nighgown
That was tattered and worn,
And she crept out the door
Looking really quite forlorn!

She knocked on a door
With the cane in her hand;
An old trick or treater,
You must understand!

Her grandchildren shrieked
When they opened the door;
Then they started laughing!
"It's Granny,in from the moor!"

They gave her an apple
Which she couldn't chew
And gave her a nice card
She couldn't see through.

They gave her a broom
And a brush for her hair;
Said "Granny, go home -
You know that we care!"

With a hug and a smile,
Granny flew up to the sky
On the magical broom;
As the children waved "bye"!
