A poem about my kids
I had a girl in 97
Caitlyn Elizabeth was sent
Straight down from Heaven.

Another daughter in 98
This child of God
Taylor Erica couldn't wait.

A child born,
Not of my body,
Austin Ryder became mine,
When I fell in love with his Daddy.

Matthew Allen is the last one.
He seems so happy to join our family fun.

My kids are the best.
My kids are great.
From reading books,
To staying up late.

"Mom, I want to lay by you.
I can't sleep by that window.
Don't you know, mother,
That it frightens me so?"

From spilled Juicy juice
To peanut butter toast,
I love these little people,
From their heads to their toes.

They keep me young,
But make me feel old,
I pray for their lives,
Amazing futures untold.

How can I mold them,
To be what they should?
How can I know
If the job I've done is good?

My fears, they flee
And run out of sight,
Each and every time,
They kiss Mommy goodnight.

For no matter what paths,
They each choose to take,
They will always be my babies,
For granted, I'll never take.
