Our hearts play double duty, physical and spiritual, how? why?
Heart Strings

Pounding out in rhythm, not for thought to make it beat;
To carry life throughout my flesh, its cycle to complete.
Duty bound, conviction laid, a purpose for life’s stay;
It tirelessly resists to rest, when I am hard at play.
Carrying all my needs to me, removing all the bad;
Adjusting to my bodies call, when I am mad or sad.
Working through this miracle, of physical demand;
God still conceived another task, with His almighty hand.
Purpose given two fold, for both life and spirit needs;
Somehow God’s gift-another task, my character to lead.
I really just don’t understand, exactly how it goes;
But if I listen carefully, even outside of me it shows.
Strings must be attached to it, which run up to my brain;
When I’m doing something wrong, I just don’t feel the same.
God gave this second purpose, I am sure to keep me true;
Cause when I really listen, thoughts are not of me but you.
So often times I thank Him, for this gift He’s given me;
I pray He draws the strings up tight, so others to can see.
If all of God’s creation, would just listen to their strings;
Be the way they ought to be, toward other human beings.
We’d have no need to lock our car, or bullet proof our store;
Children would be safe at play, would be no rich or poor.
