Leaves in Springtime

Wee
Plump buds,
Bits of sprout,
Hiding from eyes,
Do you not hear the sunshine calling you?

Still
You lie
Twig hugging
Curled with slumber.
Look up and see that springtime approaches.

Morn
Greets you.
Feel her kiss?
Open to her,
And she will bathe you with delightful warmth.

Leaves
To be,
Please unfurl.
Adorn the trees.
Fill these branches with your emerald lights.
