Poem about Valentine's day heartbreak...
Valentine's Flowers
by: Devin Barrows

For all it is worth,
I fell hard for you.
I bragged to all I knew,
That what we had was true.

I pulled and I pulled,
I wanted us to make it.
I pushed and I pushed,
Should've known you couldn't take it.

Giving you all I had,
I thought that you would too.
Giving you all I had,
Hurt me more than you.

You smiled when I expressed
My feelings to you in song.
Deep inside you laughed
While I sang for all that long.

You forgot to tell me
Of the guy you set aside.
I highly doubt within my heart,
That you had even tried.

You told me from the start,
That I should never lie.
Like I've said before,
"There's always another guy."

When Valentine's arrived
(The lovingest of days),
You broke my heart apart
In oh so many ways.

With 50 bucks of flowers
Awaiting in your room,
You chose to end it swift,
You couldn't let them bloom.

I know not what you lacked,
the liking or the lust.
I can only hope the flowers
will last, longer than us...

...

Happy Valentine's day
to my ex-girlfriend, Rachel!
Enjoy the flowers!
