Settling inner demons and healing the wounds.
Like...gravel in my shoe
inflicting an abrupt throe,
I'm uncomfortable.

Like...sand between my toes
scraping like five-day-old stubble,
I'm uncomfortable.

Like...delivering a discourse
to a sea of discerning outlanders,
I'm uncomfortable.

Like...frigid chills
disseminating through my ailing body,
I'm uncomfortable.

So is
your negligence, your aloofness,
your asperity, your frivolousness.
Without any clarification,
I'm left with a bitter taste on my tongue.
I long for some closure but,
Until then...
I'm uncomfortable.
