Why we become teachers...
(can be sung to melody of "Impossible Dream")
To teach the most innocent child,
To love with an unconditional heart,
To guide with a will that's relentless,
To mold every mind to be smart.

To challenge the insatiable soul,
To develop each ability,
To praise every glorious achievement,
To inspire them to be all they can be.

This is my quest, to show them the star,
To advise them to reach for it no matter how far,
To fight for the dream without doubt or dismay,
To be willing to rise and to fall along the way.

And I know if I'm loyal and true,
I'll continue my quest,
With the hope that throughout my career
I have taught them my best...

But the world will be the final frontier,
That they'll face when adulthood arrives.
I'll be proud and so honored to have been
A great part of their wonderful lives!
