Another sappy poem about love.
Iron Love (revision)

I walk along beside this river wide,
And, like the distant shore I know you're out there,
If I were only strong enough to brave the waters that separate us,
We could be together,
And the only thing that could separate us is an act as great as mine.
As I look up to the stars above my head,
The moon, a gorgeous pearl-drop,
Hangs just out of my feeble grasp,
But with your support I might be strong enough to reach that unatainable goal.
Your love is strong like an iron chain,
A chain that wraps around me and keeps me safe,
Nothing pierces that love-wrought armor,
Not sword, nor word, nor thought.
I've been hurt as none would know,
But you understand my pain as though it were your own to bear,
And as long as you are there beside me to support me,
When I'm weak or hurt, I can still go on,
And there's nothing I can fear in my heart,
But heart's own weakness.
