Very dark-a guy with severe problems-*No* it did not happen to *me*. Obviously.
Drunk

I look in your face as I reach out in love,
I only want to hold you and comfort your fears.
But you draw away from me,
You're still frightened, but I'm here,
Don't you see me standing in front of you?
Don't you notice the hand I'm reaching out?
As soon as I touch you, you scream as though I'd stabbed you,
I'd never hurt you, don't you know that by now?

And yet I remember... No, that's nonsense.
I'd never slap you.
I'd never hold you there if you didn't want to stay.
Wouldn't ever say, "You bitch, you don't deserve to live to see my next beer,"
I know I'd never grab that knife.

Who's done this to you?
Who's ended your life, now, in your prime,
A beautiful, graceful, forgiving girl?
Who could be so cruel?

But wait, you haven't let me touch you yet,
So how can my hands be red with blood?
Why do you scream and cry at me as though I were the one who was evil to you?
Tell me who's done this, I'll find him, I'll kill him, just tell me who.

You're fading, the light in your eyes that's always so bright,
That defiant light that I hate so much when I can't see striaght that I slap you untill you close them,
(But wait, I'd never hit you, my dear)
That light's fading away as I watch.
But here, in the woods, just as no one hears your screams,
No one can come in time to stop that light from going out.

Why did I bring you here?
Why did I tie you so you couldn't walk away?
Please don't leave!
Stay here, my love, stay with me!
I'll protect you, I'll never let anyone hurt you, I swear!

Now you're gone.
I'll never see that light again.
At least I won't remember this tomorrow.
