Poet as a peddler of dreams!
DREAM MERCHANT

Come, have a look at my dreams
That I have made for you;
In order to let you have
A look at life anew.

“Dream of a toddler as he
Caressed in mother’s lap,
Listening to songs of fairies,
Is lulled in gentle nap;

“Dream of a young school boy whose
Father is teaching him,
Out in the field secrets of
How to dive and to swim;

“Dream of a young girl facing
The mirror on the wall,
Telling her ‘yes my li’le queen,
You’re fairest of them all’;

“Dream of a young lover out
On first date, shy yet bold,
Beset with a thousand doubts,
How his love he shall hold;

“Dreams of parents, biting nails,
Watching children progress,
Whether they outshine all or
On a low path regress.

“Last, the dreams of the aged,
As their prayers they say,
That the God may give them strength,
Reveal Himself one day”.

Come and choose the dream you want,
May God grant you your wish;
If not in the real world,
In dream you may have bliss.
