The product, once again, of love lost. This poem is me expressing my feelings, as always.
Lost… Forever in those expanses of such lucid perfection
Yearning for even the slightest bit of reflection
Eternally drowning, trapped for all to see…
Without any desire to be set free.
Sifting through the everchanging sand
Searching for a familiar face,
The grains slip through these pained hands
Disappearing without much of a trace.
As the night grew weary,
The sun shone off the sea
Reflecting out into the eternity of ocean
Tucking over the horizon, as if meant to be.
Left behind in this solitude
Clouded in an unabashed misery,
The dawn will return, once again…
Conveying no sort of finality.
