Fanfic. Hermione meets Draco one night & she will never b the same again. Chptr 2
Hey everyone!! Here's my 2nd chapter

CHAPTER ONE: http://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/847364

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Nightmares plagued Hermione’s sleep. Draco stood before her, arms outstretched, blood flowing freely from a wound in his right arm. He began to fall backwards and she grabbed his hand. The blood flowed down his arm onto hers and soon she was drenched in it as he pulled her down with him.

And then they were falling. Still holding his hand she plunged head first into the darkness below. His other hand found hers and she stared at his blood drenched face as his words echoed around her.

‘I’ve always loved you.’

Hermione’s eyes flickered open. What a strange dream she thought as she stared up at the ceiling. I almost thought it was real. She gave a small laugh. But that’d be stupid. Dra...Malfoy trying to kill himself because he thought that I, Hermione Granger: Mudblood extraordinaire, hated him. Man I have some strange dreams. She smiled sadly. If only...

If only? What am I thinking? This is Malfoy! she realised. Get a grip Hermione. She told herself. He should be the last person you think ‘if only’ to. Just imaging living with him! She shuddered as the image of a large, haunted looking mansion, not unlike 12 Grimmauld Place appeared in her head. Definitely not Malfoy.

Pushing the thoughts to the back of her mind, she lay staring up at the ceiling awhile. Well, I’d better get up, we have a Potions essay due and Harry and Ron’s will need checking over. She yawned, sat up and looked around. And looked around again. And again.

She was in the Infirmary. Alone.

It hadn’t been a dream then. She had met Draco Malfoy in the corridor. He had tried to kill himself because she ‘hated’ him. It hadn’t been a dream. He’d.... Oh my god, he’s... he can’t be.. She tried to think of reasons why he wouldn’t be here. Only one...

“It’s good to see you’re up Ms Granger.” She didn’t look up as Madame Pomfrey bustled into the room. She was too busy trying not to be sick. She looked around, until she was quite sure that there was no one else in the infirmary, and she turned back to the nurse, who was still talking. “..you gave us quite a scare, what with you drenched in his blood, but...”

“Where is he?” Hermione interrupted. Madame Pomfrey blinked.

“Who dear? Now you need to take your medicine.”

“D...Malfoy! What happened to him?” She looked around once again to make sure that she hadn’t missed anyone or anything in her haste. He can’t...not be here! Madame Pomfrey frowned.

“Oh. You shouldn’t worry. Mr Malfoy is in the care of Professors Snape and McGonagall. He’s quite alright.” Hermione relaxed. Thank god. She was silent as Madam Pomfrey measured a spoonful of green liquid and handed it to her. “You two were found this morning by Professor Flitwick, and when he arrived here with both you drenched in blood, I thought you were dead. Fortunately however, you weren’t harmed; as I had to tell Mr Potter and Mr Weasley most forcefully when they were here, and Mr Malfoy’s scars have healed quite nicely, although we nearly lost him due to loss of blood.” She sighed and was about to say more, when she realised who she was talking to.

“You’ll have to stay in here a while, you were suffering from shock, and I can’t let you leave until I’m sure you’ll be alright. Take your medicine.” Hermione stared at the spoonful of green gloop, shrugged and swallowed it. It tasted like...lemonade.

“Why isn’t Malfoy in here?” she asked as she handed the spoon back. Madam Pomfrey pretended not to hear her.

“That was a sleep inducing potion, Ms Granger.” She began to draw the curtains around Hermione’s bed. “Goodnight Miss Granger, or should I say good morning, it’s nearly eleven o’clock.”
