Pain of heartbreak is devasting, but when you heal, you're stronger.
Once upon a lifetime dreary,
As I stumble tired and weary,
Rain falls gently as the tears do from my eyes.
I sit in darkness and I pray,
Just to live through another day,
Waiting for the sun to slowly fill my skies.
The blackness seems to hold me there,
There’s no escape, there is no air,
My melancholy mind aches from the lies.
Longing only for a gentle kiss,
I try to focus on the sweet abyss,
In a heap my bruised and battered ego cries.
What’s left behind is anguish and pain,
A lifeless body, a soul that’s slain,
A fatal chasm in my heart as now it dies.
