A Moving Tribute to 9-11
He holds his breath
& waits for death
He prays it will be swift
He is a good man
who lives a good life--
How could it come to this?
With a tear in his eye
& a gun barrel in his head
He thinks about his wife & their last kiss
& tucking little Sally into bed
Silently, he says, "Good bye"
He starts to speak
He begs & pleads but to no avail
The Madman pulls the trigger
The Madman blows his brains out
& on the floor of the flight
there is a bleeding, twisted trail
For this man's plight, for so many lives
The Madmen will pay the price--
In the end, America will prevail.
