Penelope has a lot of Imagination and a whole lot of luck, but will that be enough?
Introduction

Penelope was an average enough fifteen year old; dreaming about getting her license and a job, anything a normal teenager hopes for. There is one thing that Penelope was looking forward to more than anything. Her first kiss was going to be special and amazing. She realized that many girls her age had already kissed a boy (and many had a lot of experience at it.) But Penelope believed it to be something special. She wanted it to be the most magical moment of her high school career, along with Prom that is. Alas, there was bound to be a problem, Penelope is painfully shy. There is no way that she Penelope Elizabeth McAllistar would ever have the guts to ask a guy to borrow a pencil; she would positively faint if she had to ask them on a date.
Penelope had always been obssessed with love. From the moment she watched Pretty Women in the second grade she was smitten. Love held all the attraction that a Hollywood stereotype could imbibe, and she knew that the right person was out there somewhere. Penelope wanted more than anything to be in love and at the begining of her Sophomore year, she was willing to do anything to get it.

Chapter 1

"Penelope Elizabeth, get out of that bed this instance. You are going to be late for your first day of school." Her mother yelled persistantly.
"I just want like five more minutes, I swear I'll get up after that." Penelope yelled back, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hands, as she pulled her thick down comforter over her head.
"I said now," her mother said, giving the blanket a swift pull, leaving Penelope curled in a ball without a blanket.
"Mother," Penelope shouted groggily.
"Next time you might do what I ask when I ask it," her mother responded. "And comb your hair it looks like mice have been sleeping in it."
"Maybe they have been," responded Penelope quietly as she tucked a strand of the wavy brown hair behind her ear.
"Oh so you think you are a comedian now, do you." Her mother asked reproachfully. "I am somewhat less than amused," she replied slamming Penelope's laundry basket down on the floor wih a thud.
Penelope reached for her glasses on the bedside table. All at once the room came into sharp focus, and Penelope blinked rapidly to focus. She made her way into the hall bathroom, and attempted to get ready for school.
